Meet Dr. Michael R. Clark, Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon
Dr. Michael R. Clark specializes in Periodontal Surgery and Dental Implant Surgery and has extensive experience in Periodontal Plastic Surgery.
One thing unique about Dr. Clark is his vast amount of experience in the restoration of implants, having restored a few hundred. This experience with implant prosthetics makes him an even more valuable surgeon.
Dr. Clark got his diploma in D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from a top-ranked private research university in Ohio. He then went on to study at the prestigious Misch Institute in Michigan where he studied dental implants.
In full-time private practice since 1983, Dr. Clark continues to advance his education and that includes advanced training with internationally respected dental surgeons in bone regeneration and implant placement.

Dr. Clark holds fellowships in both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and the International College of Dentists (ICD). Additionally, he is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Global Dental Implant Academy.
The ICOI was founded in 1972 and encourages implantology research to improve the quality of dental implant practice. Membership is limited to only certain trades including dental surgeons.
The ICD has been around since 1920 and honors the world’s leading dentists. Fellowship in the College is by invitation only. In order to get into the ICD, dentists must pass a rigorous, peer review assessment. A dentist is evaluated on “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind.” All members must adhere to the universal motto, Recognizing Service and the Opportunity to Serve.
Arizona is now home to Dr. Clark but while in California, he was a member of the Dental Association Board of Trustees and served as Component President of his local dental society in Northern California as well as President of his Rotary Club in 2005.
